Welcome to Tempo ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tempo mobile application ("App") and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Tempo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Tempo is an English language learning application that provides slow-spoken podcast content, synchronized transcripts, and related educational features. Content is delivered via streaming and optional offline download within the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Tempo. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

• Free Trial: We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified in advance, and any price change will take effect at the start of the next billing period after the change.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in Tempo, including but not limited to audio recordings, transcripts, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Redistribute, record, or publicly perform our audio content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with the proper operation of the App

7. Content Availability

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove content at any time without prior notice. We do not guarantee that specific content will remain available indefinitely.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the App's account settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
